Low Key Ongoing project of studio photos of musicians playing or singing a tune or improvising in a major key and a minor key. Shot in low key/film noir style.
Using Old Hollywood style lighting, the subject is photographed like a product. to construct an idealised image. Incremental changes in expression and angle convey contrasting personalities and moods, erasing the subject’s personality in favour of an ideal that is an artificial façade. While one genuine smile breaks the illusion entirely
My London event photography captures impromptu moments and candid reactions where subjects are at their most relaxed and authentic. I work with discretion and am unobtrusive so as to ensure natural images that preserve the atmosphere event organisers have endeavoured to create. After each assignment, I complete basic edits/touch ups on the images to ensure the photographs are of the optimum standard for future marketing, documentary, social media and company website use. With high-end cameras, a range of lenses and years of experience taking photos in multiple lighting conditions the finished work demonstrates the high standard that clients have come to expect from my work. I’ve photographed seminars & conferences, corporate dinners and meetings, as well as covering the Stoke Newington Literary Festival, Hackney Singers Concerts (also at the Royal Festival Hall), events at the Houses of Parliament, and family occasions, such as weddings, funerals and birthday parties. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or ring me at 07814 823 780 to discuss dates and rates.
